Second Draft of Prank
This is our second draft of our film trailer, after having previously shown it to our teacher we took on her advice and edited our trailer. We spent nother few hours looking at the shots and working out how to rearange them in order to make it less like a mini film. We started by mixing up the shot order, so that it was not in chronicle order. Secondly we shortened certain parts of the film ie: we cut down many of the running sequences. Finally we cut out some shots so that it doesn't give away the actual film ie: we did not show any characters getting killed or give away the psycho's face till the end shot.
FEEDBACK
We showed our trailer to our whole media class so that we could get as much feedback as possible to give us the best chance of making our film trailer the best it can be.
Whole Class –
“Good camera angles”
“Breathing creates suspense”
“Would be better with an epic voice over”
“Colour fade is really good”
“Sound effects are good but need to be louder”
“No credits to show whose in the film”
“First running shot is too soon”
“Cheesy start but then gets into it”
“Narrative is good – false scare makes you think thats all its about but then gets into it”
“Shots from are effective”
As a group we are planning to review all the comments and use them in conjuction with our own critical feedback to make a final draft of our trailer.
